The Long Wait is over…Marion Maxx is here!
Hi friends and fans! One of the projects I’ve been working on is the sequel to Blank, the book that became a comic that became a top seller at conventions and is now available in Canada. Just after I sold my 100th copy, I asked fans where they wanted to see the story go—what characters or stories did they want to know more about? The overwhelming favorite was a story that follows Dr. Kind and his assistant Marion as they escaped from New Haven. So over the past couple of years, I wrote the scrip and searched for an artist as my previous artist was no longer available. I wanted to try to find someone who could mimic the same style but also bridge to some newer, sleeker tech elements.
Enter Andy Tiu, who hails from the Philippines, and is one of Scattered Studio’s artists whose work really caught my eye. Here was someone who could handle those classic heroes and baddies with an eye to new tech while still maintaining the dystopian landscape I really wanted to keep. Andy was great to work with. I have lately rough sketched my ideas and sent them to my artists, just so I can get my ideas out of my head onto paper. I must have done okay because Andy only had a couple of questions. The book not only turned out great, but I was told shortly after that this is his first book that he has done the art and colored. Remarkable!
Obviously, I want to get this in the hands of fans (they’ve waited long enough, don’t you think?), so that’s why I’ve put it up on INDIEGOGO for the month of June.
