New book, new campaigns, and next appearance!
Fall is here and with it comes a bunch of news from my friends. Plus, and update on my projects and appearances!
First up, my friend Doug Rice has a new book out: Janey Quixote, the 18th in the Black Scat Pocket Erotica series. In much the same way Kathy Acker questioned gender and identity, Doug continues this exploration in his work. The narrative pushes the constructs and boundaries of story, voice, and structure.
Next, my friend Chris Drew has started a master class for students called LifeLaunch. Detailed and comprehensive, this course is designed to give students the emotional and financial tools needed to succeed after high school. And now lots of campaigns! Hall of Fame Horror host Mr. Lobo is raising money to get a studio! He launched a GoFundMe a few months ago, and the project is about 50% funded. Beyond hosting Cinema Insomnia, Mr. Lobo is always creating amazing content, and the dedicated studio will help get more projects off the ground and into your streaming devices. And finally, my latest book, Marion Maxx almost got fully funded, but managed to pick up a nomination for Best Colorist (Andy Tiu) from the Indie Volt Comic Awards in September. He did an outstanding job as his first full art book, and it was great to see him get recognized!
