Hitting the campaign trail…Scattered style!

Hiya friends, fans, and family!

First, I want to thank all who have helped with the Dr Dream issue 5 campaign. We’re over 220% funded and looking for a strong finish in the next 72 hours, so if you haven’t picked up your copy of this final book in the series, you’ve got just a few days left! Here’s the link: http://kck.st/3SmJQlW

Second, I want to dedicate much of this space to my friend and fellow creator James Burton, who has just launched his latest Damage, Inc. Kickstarter. If you’ve been following the series you know the Damage, Inc. crew are a group of meta hunters for hire, fighting demons, spiders, mummies—and sometimes each other.

When the series first started, as with all story arcs, getting to know the characters, their idiosyncrasies (maybe idiosyn-crazies might be a better term for this group), desires, motivations, etc. is a big part of starting the journey and welcoming your readers into this world. It was funny, full of fury, and fighting. It hit all the right parts that I was expecting.

As the series went on, the battles continued, but we also got a deeper look into the characters’ struggles and sensitivities. To me, this is an important aspect in keeping the story engaging and relevant—and in both of these areas, Damage, Inc, hit the mark.

And it’s because of all the above that I encourage you—first time and long time readers—to support James’ Kickstarter campaign for Damage, Inc. A War of the Broken Daughters.

The Goblin Queen graces the cover of the latest issue of Damage, Inc.

This truly is a phenomenal book at the ground floor of what will be an amazing storyline. And like all Scattered Comics campaigns, James has got some great items and art to go along with the books. The campaign runs until March 11th, so be sure to click the link and support my friend James! http://kck.st/3wbng6X

I’ll have more updates in the coming weeks, cuz there’s a lot going on on the creative and the family fronts! Thanks for reading!
