Comic update…and Talia jumps in the art pool!

Hope everyone is well this Friday! It’s been some time since I updated progress on Dr. Dream issue 2 and Marion Maxx, the fan-inspired continuation of the Blank story, so I thought I assure you all that despite the pandemic, the books are soldiering on! I’ve added a couple of pages so you can take a peek at the great work Federico Sioc, Jr. (Dr. Dream) and Andy Tiu (Marion Maxx) have been doing. Both should be done by early or late fall of 2020 will feature their own Indiegogo campaigns so I can get the books, bundles, artwork, and goodies out to you even though we’re all pretty much indoors. So watch this space for further news and updates. You can, of course, shoot me an email at keithcarmonacreates@gmail.com, and I’ll add you to my list of contacts!

So while that’s been going on, Talia has spent much of her summer working on her art—experimenting with markers, watercolors, pastels, etc. Her room is literally an art studio with a bed and a trash can for her empty Snapple bottles! Her walls are a mix of decorations and her completed pieces. You can’t open the door without knocking over the portable easel or scraping the drawing mat that is perpetually on her floor in the doorway.

So dad had to take action.

“Sweetheart , have you thought about selling your art?” That got her attention.

And with that, TCImaginings was born. So now you can order prints and posters of her work on Zazzle.com. I’ve included my favorite piece below so you can get a sense of her style. And, yes, she and her friend Natalie are still working on their odyssey—er, comic book. I’m reminded of the toy maker from Toy Story 2: “You can’t rush art!”

Looks like the good doctor is in a bit of trouble!
